Luminiare Sewing & Embroidery Basics at the Mesa Clubhouse
Basic sewing and embroidery functions on the Brother Luminaire XP1 & XP2.
This class is only for those that have never had a class after they purchased their Luminiare.
In this class we will go through the Settings to help the students to personalize their machine. An explanation of each of the functions will be explained. Some settings recommendations will be made to enhance the performance of your machine. In the SEWING portion we will cover the Utility stitches, how to use the Memory functions, the Camera, laser, MuVit foot, button hole foot, button sewing foot, blind hem, edge sewing function and directional sewing. In the Decorative Stitch functions we will learn how to create patterns by combining stitches, add names, stagger stitches and balance our stitches. In My Custom Stitch we will create decorative stitches and learn how to alter existing decorative stitches.
Embroidery we will learn how to load a design, copy, group, position multiple designs, add Text using multiple line, add fills and stipple around a design and placement using the snowman stickers. Design Center we will learn how to draw on the screen, scan in images, use various fills and outline stitches, and how to do large designs.
Masks are strongly recommended in classes
What to bring to class:
Bright color spool of thread (to view easily on fabric)
Bobbin ¼ filled with matching thread.
Bobbin with white thread

Class & Club Policies
Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee the attendance to the teacher so she can prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time period. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class. Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently.
