Topics Covered In This Class:
• Setting up your machine for free-motion ruler quilting.
• Tips on what equipment and supplies to use.
• Create a variety of designs using straight and curved lines with the Westalee 12-inch Arc ruler, or similar.
• Resources for future reference and practice.

This includes the 12" Arch Ruler and Foot needed for the class.

Required Supplies:
• Sewing machine in good working order with:
 o Ruler Foot for your machine
 o Westalee 12” Arc Template, or similar.
• Fabrics:
 o 4-7 practice sandwiches at least 10”x10” of fabric, backing and batting OR
 o 2 Fat Quarter Practice Sandwiches.
 o Suggestion: Choose a top fabric that you can easily see chalk or wash away ink pen lines on.
• Thread, 50wt or 60wt for your top and bobbin.
 o Pre-fill 2-3 bobbins before class.
• Size 80/12 or 90/14 Top Stitch or Jeans Machine Needles
• Marking Tool of choice: Chalk, Disappearing Ink or Wash Away.
• Basic Sewing Kit including: scissors, straight pins, seam ripper.


Helpful Supplies:
• Spacing Gauge
• Stable Tape
• Quilting gloves or glycerin for your hands.
• 6 " or 6 ½” square ruler
• Self-threading needles for burying threads.
• Sewing Table Extension
• Free-Motion Glider
