AccuQuilt Sampler Block by Block (Session 1) - Glendale Location
This is the sign up for Session 1
Session 1 -- Blocks with HST (Half Square Triangles)
If you have an AccuQuilt CUBE and haven't really used it yet - THIS is the class for YOU!Join me in one of these sessions or all three! Each session we look at different basic quilt elements and making blocks that use them. Cut blocks using YOUR cube (any size) with the opportunity to use the shop Electric cutter! Then, sewing your blocks together while learning what to look for when sewing those cut pieces together! The goal of each class is to guide you in using the cube, its shapes, placing fabric correctly, and to gain experiences all while getting lots of tips and hints!
Session 1 -- Blocks with HST (Half Square Triangles) = This Class
Session 2 -- Blocks using Flying Geese units = October 6 (sign up separately)
Session 3 -- Blocks with Trapezoids or difficult blocks = November 3 (sign up separately)
*** Electric and crank cutters will be available in classroom!!
Supplies:
One of the books - Quilt in a Day by Eleanor Burns called "Go! Qube"
Block Cube (any size will do - your block size will just be the size of your cube)
Selections of fabrics
[I used bits and pieces to do scrappy. But a handful of 1/4 yd - 1/2 yards in 3-6 colors, FQ's works or just make experimental blocks. If your cube is larger, you need larger pieces of fabric. I do suggest some amount of a background fabric.
Sewing Machine with 1/4 " foot and Neutral thread and wound bobbin
Basic sewing supplies -- scissors, pins, seam ripper, pencil, post-it notes, etc.
--Optional: SMALL cutting mat and rotary cutter with ruler just to cut some fabrics down. (I will have mine available to just basically cut something smaller to go thru cutter easier.)
