Are you struggling with finishing your quilts and table runners?  Not happy with those corners?  Do you put off binding because you don't know where to start?

This class is about the basics of finishing those edges.  We'll talk about the many questions that arise.  You'll learn, or refresh your knowledge, how to make binding strips and two ways to complete your binding.  

BEFORE CLASS:

1. Purchase the book "Ultimate Binding and Edge-Finishing Guide by Deonn Stott"
2. Make two (2) placemat size (approx 16" x 21") layers of a quilt sandwich (top fabric, batting and backing fabric).  These may be quilted or simply pinned with safety/binding pins or spray basted together and trimmed for binding.  We will practice applying binding to these small quilt sandwiches.  You can use cotton or muslin fabric.

1. The Book "Ultimate Binding and Edge-Finishing Guide by Deonn Stott"
2. Your completed quilt sandwich trimmed and ready to bind
3. 1/3 yard cotton or muslin fabric for making your binding
4. Cutting mat
5. Long ruler (approx 6" x 24")
6. Rotary cutter with sharp blade
7. Sewing machine in good working order with foot control and power cord
8. Extra presser feet
9. Basic sewing supplies (pins, wonder clips, scissors, pencil, fabric marker, highlighter, etc.)
