Have a fabric with a design you don't want to cut up? Or a fabric that needs to be showcased? Make this quilt to show off your fabric along with an accent fabric and a background. Simple, fast, and easy! Beginner friendly. Sew it together in two days!
There are at least 10 variations of BQ Patterns by Maple Island Quilts. They are EASY to do and showcase large prints or those prints that you just don’t want to cut up. Pick the layout/pattern that you prefer.

Day 1 will be MOSTLY cutting. Day 2 will focus more on sewing.
PRE-CLASS PREPARATION:
- Pick your BQ Pattern by Maple Island Quilts
- Decide the size you want to make
- Pick your fabrics
PROJECT SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS:
- Any of the BQ patterns by Maple Island Quilts (in the Glendale store, these are located on the top row of the quilting patterns AND includes the Schooch Over 1 and 2 layouts)
- Purchase your fabrics according to the size you want to make. This usually means a focus fabric and 2-3 coordinating fabrics.
- Neutral thread (I prefer Aurifill Cotton thread)
MACHINE SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS:
- Sewing machine with power cord and foot control
- Standard Foot
- 1/4 inch piecing foot
- Wound bobbins
- Machine needles - I suggest Microtex sharps size 80/20
- Rotary cutting tools -- Rotary cutter with sharp blade, cutting mat and a longer ruler and a square ruler if you have one.
- Basic Sewing Notions -- Straight Pins, Wonder Clips, Fabric Marking Pens/Pencils, Machine Screwdriver, Seam Ripper, tweezer, Scissor, Pen/Pencil and Paper to take notes, etc. Eye glasses if you need them.
Bring your lunch, snacks and water -- water will also be provided.

Class and Club Policies
Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee attendance to the teacher so she can prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for
the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class. Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently.
