PLEASE NOTE THIS CLASS IS ONLY FREE WHEN YOU BUY THE MACHINE FROM US! IF YOU DIDN'T PURCHASE IT AT MULQUEEN'S YOU WILL BE CHARGED A CLASS FEE AT THE TIME OF CLASS OF $30.

The basic operation of the machine will be covered.

We will thread the sergers from scratch while I explain the workings and the reason for thread breaks. The tips alone will save you so much time in adjusting and threading your machine.

Starting with 4 thread stitching you will learn to adjust your tensions with confidence. Then to 3 threads stitching to a perfect rolled hem and flatlock then back to a standard 4 thread stitch.

Class requirement: The serger for use during class must be either less then 2 years old or it has had a full service within the past 6 months prior to taking the class.

SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS:

Your serger that is in good working order with all of your serger feet, foot control and power cord
The instruction manual that came with your serger
4 different colors of serger thread - I suggest Maxi Lock (the different colors may help make sense of each looper or needles)
Serger Accessories such as tweezers, threaders, etc.
Paper with pen or pencil to take notes if you want to
Your eyeglasses if you need them

Class & Club Policies

Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee attendance to the teacher so she can prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class. Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently. Please refrain from using perfumes or scented lotions for the health and safety of our staff and customers. Thank you.
