Basic Sewing Machine Operations

PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR PAID INVOICE FROM WHEN YOU PURCHASED YOUR MACHINE.

If you did not purchase your sewing machine from Mulqueen, please call the Glendale store at 623-934-0084 before registering so we can better assist you.

This class is FREE IF YOU PURCHASED YOUR MACHINE FROM MULQUEEN.  If you purchased your machine from another retailer, you will be charged a class fee of $30 at the time of class.

This class is an introduction to your sewing machine and we will be going over basic machine operations only, such as:

• How to thread your machine
• How to use your needle threader if your machine has one
• How to wind a bobbin
• How to insert your bobbin
• How to select stitches and the proper presser foot

PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING TO CLASS:

• First - read the class policies below, and bring:
• Your Sewing Machine
• Manual
• Power cord and foot control
• Bring all accessories that came with your machine (presser feet, bobbins, tools, etc)
• A spool of good quality sewing thread (we suggest Aurifil or Mettler)
• A bobbin or two
• A small pair of scissors
• pen/pencil and paper to take notes
• Your reading glasses if you need them

Class and Club Policy

Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee attendance to the teacher so she can prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class. Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently. Please refrain from using perfumes or scented lotions for the health and safety of our staff and customers.
