Bust your stash and be ready for the holiday now. Sit in our air-conditioned classroom with quilting friends and put together this beginner-friendly holiday table runner. This is a great stash buster pattern! Choose some holiday fabrics or a color scheme of choice, or stop by Mulqueen's to check out our wide selection of holiday fabrics!
This Table Runner can be made longer or shorter by adding more or less presents. Fabric requirements will change of course. Reach out to the instructor if you need help calculating.
Class attendees are offered a 25% discount off notions and $1 off per yard of fabrics (min. 1/4 cut) needed for this class project. Pre-cut fabrics are not included. Please show a copy of your class registration and supply list at the register to get your discount. This discount expires at the end of class.
PRE-CLASS PREPARATION:
We suggest you precut your fat quarters into the sizes needed to have more time for sewing in class. From your background fabric, cut 1 1/2" strips to go around all your presents.
Cutting Hint: When cutting those 8 strips at 1 1/2", make it easier by lining up your fabric with the 3" ruler line. Make your first cut at the 3" line then slide your ruler back to the 1 1/2" line and cut again. Pick up your ruler and you have 2 cut strips. This reduces the cutting time because you don't have to pick up your ruler for each cut.
SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR PROJECT:
- Pattern - Modern Holiday Table Runners, Volume 2 (SKU: CCS210)
- Fabric and Batting - 6 Fat Quarters for presents
- Background fabric - 5/8 yard
- Binding - 1/3 yard
- Thread - neutral
MACHINE SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS:
- Sewing Machine with Power Cord and Foot Control
- 1/4" foot
- Standard foot
- Wound bobbins
- Basic sewing notions: straight pins, wonder clips, fabric marking pens/pencils, machine screwdriver, seam ripper, scissors, pen/pencil and paper to take notes, etc.
- Optional Supplies - rotary cutting supplies only needed if you haven't previously cut out all your fabrics pieces according to pattern directions.
- Please bring lunch, snacks, and water for your comfort.
- Please refrain from using perfumes or scented lotions for the health and safety of our staff and customers. Thank you.
Class & Club Policies
Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee attendance to the teacher so she can prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class. Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently. Please refrain from using perfumes or scented lotions for the health and safety of our staff and customers.
