#5 All Things Backings
This session will be about backings. Discussions on how to do the math, best ways to enlarge them, and even ways to jazz them up! Find out what your longarm quilter would like you to know and might expect. Explore the various ways to make backs fun and yet keep them simple.

If you register for 3 or more workshops, you will receive a gift card after you attend all the workshops in this series you registered for as follows:

The workshops in this series are:

Fri., Sept. 26                                                                                #1 Rotary Cutting Tips and Hints
This session will discuss ways to get straighter cuts, correct use of rulers and cutters, and even ways to cut faster. Information on mat care, correct positioning, and getting rid of those elbow (uneven) strip cuts.

Fri., Oct. 3 #2 Tools for Accuracy
This session will delve into many of the various tools and the use of them to make your piecing journeys easier. There is always another tool to use in quilting. In this session we look at rulers, pins, needles, squaring up, pressing, and so much more.

BRING your favorite or most used tool to tell us about!

Fri., Oct. 24 #3 Introduction to "All-in-One Quilter's Reference Tool" Book 
This session will introduce you to a book that can make your quilting math and calculating so much easier! Book not required, but you may find that you can’t go home without it!

“All-in-One Quilter’s Reference Tool” can help you with yardage calculations, quilt sizes, backing, layout for blocks, and SO much more!

You may want to purchase your own book and bring highlighter and post-it notes to tag the pages that you want to find and reuse again and again!

Fri., Oct. 31 #4 On-Point Quilt Layouts
This workshop session will discuss how to put quilt blocks on point. We will look at how to sew the rows, easiest ways to cut those triangles and how to deal with them easily. And how to square them up.

If you have the “All-In-One Reference Tool” book, you may want to bring it along.


Fri., Nov. 7 #5 All Things Backings

Fri., Nov. 21                                               #6 Bindings and Finishing Quilt Edges
Find out about binding and finishing edges for quilts. This is NOT a hands-on class, but we will discuss tips, tools, and ways to make a nicer finish. We will also look at a couple of finishes that may be new to you.

Class & Club Policies 

Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee attendance to the teacher so she can prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class.  Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently.  Please refrain from wearing any perfumed sprays or lotions for the health and safety of our customers and employees.  Thank you.
