Join the Glendale Store to make a super cute zippered travel pouch, completely in the hoop. 

We will be embroidering OESD’s In The Hoop Travel Pouch Pattern #19999-031. 

Installing zippers entirely in the hoop (Machine Embroidery) is the easiest and most fun method of installing a zipper.  Come join the fun and make this darling travel bag.  It stitches up fast and makes a wonderful holiday present.

• Purchase the OESD Travel Pouch Pattern # 1999-031 (you can do this in the store and get your 25% discount for the class - if you purchase directly from OESD we are not able to apply the discount)
• Put embroidery files on a USB drive or your machine.
• Cut your fabric pieces as follows:
  • 1 - 8" x 4" fabric for the top panel
  • 1 - 8" x 9" fabric for the bottom panel
  • 1 - 8" x 7" fabric for the pocket panel
  • 1 - 8" x 7" fabric for the inner divider panel
  • 1 - 8" x 14" fabric for the bag backing

SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR THIS PROJECT:

Class attendees are offered a 25% discount off notions and $1 off per yard of fabrics (min. 1/4 cut) required and used for this class project.  Pre-cut fabrics are not included.  Please show a copy of your class registration AND supply list at the register to get your discount.  This discount expires at the end of class.

• OESD Travel Pouch Design Pattern # 19999-031
• 1/2 yd of cotton fabric or 5 coordinating fat quarters
• OESD Ultra Clean and Tear Tearaway Stabilizer (10" x 10yd roll)– SKU: HBT17-10
• 1 yd of Pellon SF101 or similar woven interfacing
• Embroidery threads that either match or contrast your fabrics depending on your preference.
• #3 or #5 zipper - 9" or longer (we carry 14" zippers in the store)
• OESD paper tape
• Rotary cutter with sharp blades - 45mm suggested
• Rotating or small cutting mat at least 8" x 10" or larger
• Basic Sewing and Embroidery notions - Straight Pins, Wonder Clips, Fabric Marking Pens/Pencils, Machine Screwdriver, Seam Ripper, Scissor, Pen/Pencil and Paper to take notes, etc.
• Eye glasses if you need them

MACHINE SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS:

• Embroidery machine in good working order with foot control and power cord 
• Embroidery foot
• Embroidery Hoop 6" x 10" or larger
• Wound bobbins - black and white 60 weight embroidery bobbin thread
• Embroidery Needles size 75/11 or 80/12

Class & Club Policies

Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee attendance to the teacher so she can prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class. Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently. Please refrain from using perfumes or scented lotions for the health and safety of our staff and customers.
