Have you ever wanted to finish a quilt with a different edge finish but wondered how? Or seen those prairie points or scallops but couldn’t imagine how to do it?

Find out how to accomplish 4 different finishes and see just how easy it could be! This class is a small hands-on for trying Chenille Binding, Faux piping, Scalloped Edges, Prairie Points and scallop edges with facings.

A Kit is provided in this class with quilted panel design and the fabrics needed for doing a different edge on each side of panel block! Learn about doing each of the finishes that can be done on a full size quilt on a small quilted block.

SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR THIS PROJECT:

Class attendees are offered a 25% discount off notions and $1 off per yard of fabrics (min. 1/4 cut) required and used for this class project. Pre-cut fabrics are not included unless they are required for the project. Please show a copy of your class registration AND supply list at the register to get your discount. This discount expires at the end of class.

You will receive a kit with all the fabric you need to prepare a sample of 4 alternative quilt finishes
Thread - the kit uses dark blue and yellow edgings if you want colors to match.
Fabric scissor
Clips or straight pins
Fabric marker or pencil.
OPTIONAL: Purchase the book - Ultimate Binding and Edge-Finishing Guide Book by Deonn Stott - SKU: FC10468 (this would be helpful if you don't already have it)

MACHINE SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS:

Sewing machine with power cord and foot control
1/4 inch piecing foot
BRING ALL OF YOUR PRESSER FEET
Wound bobbins
Basic sewing notions such as straight pins, Wonder Clips, Fabric Marking Pens/Pencils, Machine Screwdriver, Seam Ripper, Scissor, Pen/Pencil and Paper to take notes, etc.
Eye glasses if you need them.

Bring your lunch and/or snacks for your comfort

Water will be available

Class & Club Policies

Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted when paid in full. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee attendance to the teacher so she can prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class. Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently.
