The Mexican Star Quilt is one of those magical designs that looks wonderfully intricate but comes together with surprisingly simple techniques. Discover the charm of traditional quilting with this vibrant Mexican Stars quilt pattern, designed for creative enthusiasts. This pattern features a stunning arrangement of star blocks in rich hues set against a light background, creating a visually striking piece.

There is preparation prior to class required.  This will be e-mailed to each participant.

Sewing machines will be available for you to use during class!

Bring proof of your class registration to any Mulqueen location and get 25% OFF ANY NOTIONS ON THIS LIST.  Plus, you will get $1 off per yard (1/4 yard minimum cut) of fabric you need for this project.

• Mexican Stars by Southwind Designs SWD303
• Fabric Requirement:
  • Light (background) - 1 1/2 yards
  • Dark (star part, inside petal, and outside arrows) - 1/2 yard
  • Medium (star part) - 1/4 yard
  • Bright (star center) - 1/8 yard
  • Multi Medium Focus (sashing that are long pieces that connect) - 1/3 yard
  • Backing Fabric:  1 yard
• Coordinating thread to match the background (We recommend Aurifil)
• Rotary cutter with a sharp blade
• Rotary cutting ruler
• General sewing supplies:  pins, clips, seam ripper, etc.
• There may be additional supplies required

Class & Club Policies 

Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee the attendance to the teacher so she can prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time period. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class. Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently.
