It’s heating up outside, but we are staying cool inside and stitching out Fabric Confetti’s Merry Mugs pattern. This class will be a 2 part class. Part 1 will be stitching out the mug designs. Part #2 will be sewing it together into the design you choose.

Design Options: Mug Rugs, Mini Quilt, large wall hanging, table runner or small wall hanging.

We will have scan n cut machines on hand for you to cut your applique fabrics. No experience is necessary to use the scan n cuts, the teacher will give a demo and help everyone through using the machines. This is a great introduction to the Scan N Cut as well as seasoned users.

Supplies needed for Project:

Pattern w/ SKU: Fabric Confetti - Very Merry Mugs ITH Wall Hanging – SKU: FC-VMM

Fabric and Batting: Full wall quilt requirements;

1 yard of background fabric: sub-cut into sixteen, 7 1/2" x 7 1/2” squares

11/4 yard of Fusible Fleece; sub-cut into sixteen, 7 1/2" x 7 1/2” squares The extra Fusible Fleece will be used to back borders. ½ yard for sashing
¼ yard for binding

31” square for backing and quilt batting

A handful of 5X5 applique fabrics for the mugs

Stabilizers / Interfacing w/SKUs:  

Polymesh stabilizer – SKU: HBC15-10

1yd Hat n Bond Lite

Embroidery Threads that coordinate with the mug designs and fabrics

Basting Glue – SKU: RXGL2 (Needed for the 2nd class for alternative binding).

Machine Supplies to be bring to class:

Embroidery Machine with Power Cord, foot control, & manual
Embroidery Foot (for embroidery machine)
Embroidery Hoops 6X10 & 7X12 or larger.
Several white bobbins for embroidery
Rotary Cutter/Ruler/Small mat
Needles: 75/11 or 80/12 Preferred

Optional: ScanNCut Mat – Low Tack Mat, Mini iron

Basic Sewing / Embroidery Notions to bring to class:

Straight Pins, Wonder Clips, Fabric Marking Pens/Pencils, Machine Screwdriver, Seam Ripper, Scissor, Pen/Pencil and Paper to take notes, etc.

Pre-Class Preparation:

Put Embroidery files on a USB drive or your machine.
Cut out backround fabrics and quilt batting, 7 ½ Square. As many as you plan to embroider.

Bring lunch, snacks and water.

Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee attendance to the teacher so she can
prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class. Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently.
