Dress-up your home for the holidays with this beautiful tree skirt!
Easy to make tree skirt is log cabin style and made with 2 ½ ” wide strips! Get started piecing your tree skirt now, and then it gives you
plenty of time to quilt and bind before the holiday decorating time arrives.
Beginner friendly and fun to make!
Pre-Class Preparation:
- Purchase your pattern at the Glendale register!
- Gather your fabrics.
- And cut your 2 ½” strips and label them. We can cut your 60 degree triangles for the tree centers in class, just precut your 4 3/8” strip of fabric.
Supplies needed for Project:
Pattern: Log Cabin Tree Skirt by Deonn Stott. ASK at the register for Pattern.
Fabric and Batting:
Tree Centers – ¼ yd.
4 -- Light/Med Greens (A thru D):
A - ¼ yd B – 1/3 yd C – 3/8 yd D – ½ yd.
4 Med/ dark Greens (E thru H):
E – ¼ yd F – 1/3 yd G – ½ yd H – ½ yd.
Background : 2 ½ yards
Binding: ½ yd
Thread(s): Neutral color thread
Machine Supplies to be bring to class:
Sewing Machine with Power Cord and Foot Control
1/4 Inch Foot
Wound Bobbins
Basic Sewing / Embroidery Notions to bring to class:
Straight Pins, Wonder Clips, Fabric Marking Pens/Pencils, Machine Screwdriver, Seam Ripper, Scissor, Pen/Pencil and Paper to take notes, etc.
Rotary Cutting Tools to bring to class:
Rotary Cutter with sharp blade
Cutting Mat - Medium
Ruler with 60 angle lines on it – OR a 60 degree triangle ruler
Bring snack or lunch if desired.
Class & Club Policies
Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee attendance to the teacher so she can
prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for
the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class. Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently.
