Unleash your creativity with these quilt patterns that are designed for quilting enthusiasts who crave precision and style. If you want to learn how to foundation paper piece, the Sewing Notions paper piecing patterns are a great place to start! You choose your favorite to make from the five Sewing Notions Patterns by Everyday Stitches! This can be very addictive and you may end up making all of them! If you are serious about putting a dent in your scrap bins, this is the class for you!
This will be a skill building and technique session. We will take time to set up your work area. You can expect to complete a few blocks on the first day, so be ready to turn on you "out of the box" thinking. The second day will be for continued work or if you have a foundation paper-piecing project haunting you (like I do) you can bring it and delve in.
PROJECT SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS
Bring proof of your class registration to any Mulqueen location and get 25% OFF ANY NOTIONS ON THIS LIST. Plus, you will get $1 off per yard (1/4 yard minimum cut) of fabric you need for this project.
- Choose one of the following Sewing Notion Patterns by Everyday Stitches
- Sadie the Scissors
- Pippa the Pin
- Rita the Ripper
- Bonnie the Bobbin
- Callie the Cutter
- Check the back of the pattern for fabric requirements. Bring more scraps than you think you will need and come prepared to share! This will add to the fun of our time together!
- Because of the technique, look over the pattern sheets to make sure your scraps are big enough to accommodate for seam allowances on all sides. Also, spend some time looking at the grids to get a feel for the fabric placement before class.
- Photo copy all pattern pieces before class
- We have a variety of foundation paper brands to choose from or you may choose to use copy paper
- Prior to class cut apart the pattern by blocks and clip them together by the row
- Rotary Cutter
- 1 or more Rulers - I use a 6 1/2" x 12 1/2" and a 4" x 8"
- Flat Head Pins
- Add a Quarter Ruler
- Surgical Seam Ripper
- Wooden Pressing Tool (Magic Seam Wand)
- Basic Sewing Supplies - scissors, pin cushion, etc.

Class & Club Policies
Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee the attendance to the teacher so she can prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time period. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class. Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently.
