Join us for a fun ByAnnie’s Clam Up class.
These little zipper bags can be used for a variety of things and come in 4 sizes. They are wonderful for holding Wonder clips, transporting our sewing items to class, holding makeup, you can even install a grommet in the small bag and use it on your dogs leash to carry little trash bags.
In this class, we will learn to sew bias binding and how to install zippers. While not required, we do highly recommend the ByAnnie’s stiletto for all ByAnnie’s bags.
Pre-Class Preparation:
Please cut your BIAS binding per the pattern directions. If you are quilting your bag, please quilt the 2 fat quarters and Soft and Stable together before you come to class as this takes quite a bit of time. No cutting is needed prior to class.
Discount Supply List – Class attendees will be given a list of supplies they can purchase at any Mulqueen location. It offers 25% off class notions and $1 off price per yard for fabrics needed for the class. Students are required to show the supply list and a copy of their class registration
to receive the discounts.
Supplies needed for Project:
- ByAnnie’s Clam Up Pattern – SKU: PBA275
- Two OR three fat quarters –
1 main FQ -1 lining FQ -1 coordinating FQ (or you can use the lining fabric - -ByAnnie's Soft and Stable: One 18"x58" package will make one of each size.
- Poly thread in your choice of colors. You may want to bring 1 color that fully matches your main fabric and 1 accent color for top stitching.
- Zipper Tape- size 4.5 or 5 –
15 inches minimum if doing XS or S size –
20 inches minimum if doing M or L size –
24 inches minimum if doing XL size
**You will need 2 zipper pulls per bag** - ByAnnies Double sided basting tape, 1/4”
- Hardware for outside tabs: D-ring and/or swivel hook
- Scraps of SF101 interfacing for inner side panels
- Fabric marking pen/pencil
- Sewing Machine with Power Cord and Foot Control
- 1/4 Inch Foot
- Zipper Foot
- Walking Foot
- Standard Foot
- Bobbins
- Needles: 90/14 preferred.
Basic Sewing / Embroidery Notions to bring to class:
Straight Pins, Wonder Clips, Fabric Marking Pens/Pencils, Screwdriver, Seam Ripper, Scissor, Pen/Pencil and Paper to take notes, etc.

Class & Club Policies
Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee attendance to the teacher so she can
prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for
the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class. Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently.
