$15 per session plus supplies
Any size Block Cube will work. We will use a book to guide us through making a sampler quilt. Cutters will be provided in classroom. Pick the fabrics you would like to use and bring them along with your cube and sewing machine. Depending on how class time goes and decisions the group makes together, we hold monthly sessions for 6 – 9 months to work on this together until we get it accomplished.
Pre-Class Preparation:
- Buy your book/ books. (we work from 2 different ones, but not necessary to have both)
- Gather or purchase your fabrics according to your cube size:
- FROM “GO! QUBE Mix & Match Block System” book:
- 4” cube information on page 21
9” cube information on page 51
12” cube information on page 57 (This gives you an approximate amount to start with. Or you can do the whole project from various fabrics from your stash.) - IF you are using a size between these block sizes, the amount will be slightly less then the next bigger size.
Discount Supply List – Class attendees will be given a list of supplies they can purchase at any Mulqueen location. It offers 25% off class notions and $1 off price per yard for fabrics needed for the class. Students are required to show the supply list and a copy of their class registration
to receive the discounts.
Supplies needed for Project:
- GO! QUBE Mix & Match Block System . SKU: 55984 OR: Quilt in a Day GO! QUBE SKU: 201091
- Fabric and Batting: You may make your sampler scrappy with a consistent background, or totally scrappy! OR you may buy a collection of fabrics and a background. NOTE: Each block uses 2 – 4 colors and a background.
- Thread(s): I suggest Aurifil neutral beige or gray color
- Accuquilt Cube Die of any size.
Machine Supplies to be bring to class:
- Sewing Machine with Power Cord and Foot Control
- 1/4 Inch Foot
- Standard Foot
- Wound Bobbins
Basic Sewing / Embroidery Notions to bring to class:
- Straight Pins, Wonder Clips, Fabric Marking Pens/Pencils, Machine Screwdriver, Seam Ripper, Scissor, Pen/Pencil and Paper to take notes, etc.
Rotary Cutting Tools to bring to class:
- Rotary Cutter with sharp blade
- Cutting Mat Size: small
- Ruler: Size: Size for general cutting
Optional Supplies to bring to class:
- Post-it notes and Project box suggested for this longer term project.
- Bring your Accuquilt Cube and Mat sized appropriate for your cube.
Bring lunch, snacks and water.
Class & Club Policies:
Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5) days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee attendance to the teacher so she can
prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class. Purchase your supplies prior to the class unless the supply list indicates differently.
