This class is an adventure is making a Pinwheel block and turning it into a possibility of at least 15 other block layouts.

Purchase or pull out a layer cake pack OR cut 10” squares from your stash. We have potential to try 15 different layouts. IF using a layer cake, make sure it includes enough LIGHT and DARK fabrics to mix and match for contrast. Best Press is highly recommended for your fabric squares! This class will be an exploration class, so you may make as many blocks as you would like.
** if you have a whole layer cake, you may make many more blocks at home for whatever project you would like. i.e. Mix and Match Table Runners, Placemats, quilt tops and more.

Pre-Class Preparation:

Purchase OR gather your layer cakes fabrics to make your own 10” blocks. Make sure you have combinations of light and dark prints for contrast. You MUST have your own mat and ruler for this class!

Discount Supply List – Class attendees will be given a list of supplies they can purchase at any
Mulqueen location. It offers 25% off class notions and $1 off price per yard for fabrics needed
for the class. Students are required to show the supply list and a copy of their class registration
to receive the discounts.

Supplies needed for Project:

Pattern is FREE from instructor with Class

Fabric and Batting: 10” squares or Layer cakes
Pattern includes 15 Blocks - So you will want at least 15 lights and 15 Medium/Dark blocks

Machine Supplies to be bring to class:

Sewing Machine with Power Cord and Foot Control
1/4 Inch Foot
Wound Bobbins

Basic Sewing / Embroidery Notions to bring to class:

Straight Pins, Wonder Clips, Fabric Marking Pens/Pencils, Machine Screwdriver, Seam Ripper,
Scissor, Pen/Pencil and Paper to take notes, etc.

Rotary Cutting Tools to bring to class:

Rotary Cutter with sharp blade
Cutting Mat Size: Rotating or medium sized mat (larger than a 13” block)
Ruler: Size: At least 18” long
***Your own mat and ruler is definitely needed for this class!
