This quilt is not for a quilter just getting started, but it is easy enough for an advanced beginner with rotary cutting confidence, or any intermediate quilter. Fear not! The hardest part is the first two
hours and then it gets easy!

The first half of class will be cutting your pieces. Please come with a new blade in your rotary cutter and a MAT at least 18” x 24”. At the end of class your blocks will not be all sewn, but you will know how to sew your curves for finishing your blocks at home.

Pre-Class Preparation:

Purchase your pattern and fabrics.
PRECUT your fabric into 12 ½” strips. then cut into 3 segments 14” long for a total of 36 rectangles.

Discount Supply List – Class attendees will be given a list of supplies they can purchase at any
Mulqueen location. It offers 25% off class notions and $1 off price per yard for fabrics needed
for the class. Students are required to show the supply list and a copy of their class registration
to receive the discounts.

Fabric and Batting: 3/8 yd. of 6 different Dark value print
3/8 yd of 6 different Medium value print
OR 12 different contrasting prints

Neutral thread

Post-it notes
Wonder Clips (or pins but clips work best)
45mm rotary cutter with a NEW blade
Cutting mat at least 18”x 24”

Machine Supplies to be bring to class:

Sewing Machine with Power Cord and Foot Control
1/4 Inch Foot
Wound Bobbins

Basic Sewing / Embroidery Notions to bring to class:

Straight Pins, Wonder Clips, Fabric Marking Pens/Pencils, Machine Screwdriver, Seam Ripper,
Scissor, Pen/Pencil and Paper to take notes, etc.

Rotary Cutting Tools to bring to class:

Rotary Cutter with sharp blade

Cutting Mat Size: 18” x 24” (must be Larger than 13” x 15” rectangles)

Ruler: Size: Oval Always (SKU: CGRKAOVAL)

Optional Supplies to bring to class:

Project box will be helpful for layering your carefully arranged cuts for transporting home!
OR a flat box will work – BEWARE! Putting your cut curves into a tote is not advised!

Bring snack or lunch if desired.

Class & Club Policies:

Class and/or Club fees are required at the time of registration. Reservations will only be accepted
at time of full payment. If you need to cancel a class, we must be notified a minimum of five (5)
days in advance of the class. At five days, we guarantee attendance to the teacher so she can
prepare for the class. There will be no class refunds or credits given after that time. We reserve
the right to cancel a class if we do not have the minimum number of students the teacher
requires. If that happens, a full refund or credit will be given. Please read over the supply list for
the class completely to see what preparations or special products are needed for the class.
